Instead of wasting money for coming to the spa to take care of our body, face-skin or hair, our ladies need to figure out some other ways to do some DIY treatments at home. This helps to save money, save time and get real results from natural ingredients. Today, we are going to show you two methods of making DYI spa treatment for Face and Hair by using Honey and Avocado. Are you ready?
Honey-Avocado Face Mask
Avocado is provided full of vitamin E, healthy fats, and antioxidants to help keep skin smooth. Lemon juice and apple cider vinegar contain citric acid which may help “brighten” the skin, and the apple cider vinegar may help reduce inflammation on the skin. It can says that all ingredients of this recipient are truly beneficial for our treasure of woman – face skin.
And there is no doubt for the benefit of honey for a long time. Honey helps brighten the skin and also thoroughly cleanse with its natural antibacterial/antimicrobial properties, and the uncooked oatmeal can work as an exfoliant while also soothing skin. Many all-natural skincare lines use avocado in the form of avocado oil. It’s often used as a moisturizer and all natural source of free radical damage fighting vitamin A, E, and vitamin C. However, when buying honey, be careful to choose reputable brand that offers real honey without additional additives.
For this DYI honey-avocado face mask, a dreamy mix of hydrating avocado, skin-cleansing honey and toning apple-cider vinegar delivers perfect pH balance for all types of skin.
1/4 cup ripe avocado
2 tablespoons raw honey
1/2 teaspoon cider vinegar
Combine and mix avocado, honey and vinegar in a mini food processor or a bowl; process until smooth with a fork.
Next steps, apply a thin layer to clean and damp skin of the whole face. Let dry, then rinse off and moisturize as desired. Oily skin types may not need additional moisturizer.
Notes:
- Please just make enough for 2-3 applications. Do not put it in the fridge for a long time.
- After the combination is made, it should be used immediately.
Honey-Avocado Hair Spa
There are a ton of recipes and formulas out there for deep conditioning hair masks—and I’ve tried a lot of them—but this combo is my favorite. Not only because it makes my hair soft and shiny, but also because it has ingredients that I almost always have on hand!
The same fats and oils in avocado that make them good and healthy for your health, they are also a great option for helping to repair dry, brittle, or damaged hair. Olive oil is also extremely hydrating, and it helps protect your hair from damage, especially for the ladies who love changing their hairstyle and use a lot of heat on their hair.
And honey is packed with scalp and hair-strengthening vitamins. Additionally, it helps coat your hair strands and retain moisture. You can also toss in a few drops of lavender essential oil, which is a natural treatment for the scalp—helping to keep dandruff and itchy skin at bay. Another big plus is that honey smells really good, too. Let’s start!
Step-by-step to make it:
- To prepare the mask, skin and de-pit avocados (the quantity will depend on the length and thickness of your hair) and add to a bowl.
- Mash it consistently along with the honey to a lump-free and even, creamy consistency.
- Apply the mask from root to tip, you can buy a hood to cover all your hair to make it neat and tidy. Then, steam for 10 minutes.
- After steaming your hair, leave it on for another 20 minutes.
- Wash with lukewarm water and mild shampoo.
Note: Patiently apply this formula once a week to get the best outcome.
